In church last Sunday, the topic for the sacrament meeting talks was scripture study. One of the speakers was talking about several families he knew who loved soccer. He talked about how loyal they were to the sport. I was sitting there wondering what soccer had to do with the scriptures when he said,
"Wouldn't it be nice if we had
Scripture Moms
instead of soccer moms?"
Then he went on to talk about the importance of scripture study in our homes.
Well, I think he has a great point. I find myself feeling like a chauffer most days as I run my kids from one activity to another. We love the scriptures but we haven't been the best at reading together every night. I want to start right now to be as steadfast about scripture study as I am at getting my kids to all of the different activities they participate in.
So, by putting it here on my blog, I am holding myself accountable.Wish me luck everybody!

You can DO IT!!!! We find ourselves trying daily. Somedays we are just reading a verse because the kids WILL NOT sit through it. But at least they know we are consistent. Read Elder Bentnars talk from this past Oct conference. SOOOO good. Love ya MJ and yes Danni is cute ;)
