P.P. meets S.S.

OK, I haven't blogged in such a long time that when I went to log in, it took me a few minutes to remember my password!

Normally this would make me frustrated because I haven't been "keeping up" with everything but the truth is... I am going to give myself an early Christmas present and let go of that pesky guilt found commonly in the females of my religious denomination. There are things in life that are much more important than "keeping up" with everything.

For instance:

Last week I found myself standing in the middle of Walmart with 3 teenage girls. We were pushing 2 grocery carts that had been piled high with gifts for a family that we have never met. I like to call it Personal Progress meets Secret Santa. Or P.P. meets S.S.  It's a great combination.

I wish you could have been there.

(Yes, YOU, the person reading this right now.)

Because if you had watched these girls touch every single blanket in the baby section. Hugging, unfolding, checking for flaws...You would have had that same tingly feeling I had.

The words "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these" came into my mind and for a split second, I felt like they were choosing a blanket for the Christchild himself.

I may not get around to my blog for another month or so but it is important that you know something.

(Yes, YOU, again.)

I believe in Christ. He is my savior and yours. He was born in the most humble of circumstances. The angels of heaven shouted for joy. And the world did not see him for who he was. He walked among them and they didn't know him. I always find that part to be so sad. I am grateful that we can KNOW HIM without having to walk beside him. We can receive knowledge from the Holy Ghost that Jesus Christ is the savior of the world.

I have been working hard this season to find Christ in Christmas and I found him in Walmart!

I wonder where you'll find him...

I love doing things like this at Christmas time. I just hope that we can do it next year. I sure LOVE helping out families in need. And yes PP meeting SS is great. I think its a great way to bring up our young women in the world. Teaching them that its not just about them.
