The snow and wind are making it kind of gloomy outside. Just the right kind of day to stop and think about what I'm thankful for...
~Lilly~Thursdays are my day with Lilly. She makes even the coldest days warm and sunny to me. Plus, she thinks her aunt is an amazing cook! I can never go wrong with Cinnamon Toast!
~Siblings~
I am the first of 5 siblings. My sister and I say that we are the original 5. (My parents are divorced.) We gained 9 more siblings when my dad remarried. A little while later, we gained another 6 siblings when my mom remarried. So, if you think about it, I have a lot of siblings! I am thankful for each of them and have learned that love makes a family no matter how complicated the circumstances might be.
~Being Released~
I have been serving in my church calling for 3 years and was released on Sunday. It was the most difficult calling I have ever had. I made plenty of mistakes but I can honestly say that I did my best. Every time I have ever been released from a calling I have always worried that I didn't do a good enough job. This time is no different but I know that my efforts were good enough for Heavenly Father and I'm so thankful that he loves me (and each of us) unconditionally. I feel that it was my privilege to learn and grow from the people I worked with. They have changed my life and I will never forget them. I was also able to feel my testimony grow deeper as I struggled to improve upon my weaknesses.

~Home~
I have several friends moving on and moving up when it comes to living arrangements. I'm so happy for them! But I have to confess that it makes it hard for me not to want a brand new house with a couple of more bathrooms and a few more bedrooms. And I know that I have to be careful because I could easily talk myself into being very unhappy. The truth is, I am thankful for my home. So much laughter has echoed between these walls. Many family dinners have worn out the kitchen table. And when I'm away, for even a night, I miss this place. It is where my family is. So, it is also where my heart is. This is home.

Thank you MJ! I think we all need to take time to think on what we are thankful for. As the idea of our own house fills my thoughts, we have been so blessed to live here and meet the friends we have. As we all move on we will look back here and smile. What a special place. I to am grateful for the callings we have had. You and I have worked together in many. I can tell you this MJ you have done an amazing job. Thank You!
I am thankful for you too sis. I think that great that you got Released. Well I know how it is to want you own house. We I go to my girls nights out most of my friends have there own houses or they are renting a house. There places are all bigger than mine. But our day will come. MY kids like Cinnamon Toast too.
Well I love you and miss you and hope you have a great week. see you in a few weeks but not soon enough xoxoxoxoxo
You need to know that you were truly an amazing Relief Society President. I don't think I've ever had a more gentle, kind, and loving RS President. It was nearly impossible to see your smiling face and hear your gentle words and not feel your love and the love of our Savior shining through you. I feel a little sorry for our next president...she has some big shoes to fill! :)
I have to say that I'm thankful for people like YOU and the Scoville's (who I heard were just released as well) who sacrifice for your callings and who really serve and love the work of the gospel! It's inspiring to those of us who feel inexperienced and inadequate in our callings to see you successfully use your faith in Christ to concentrate on the people of His Church! Thanks for the morale booster- as always!!
