i miss. . .

Was there ever a time...when you were little...

...that you wondered what would be on the other side of the mountain if you managed to climb that high? Did you ever get dizzy thinking about outer space?

Can you remember kissing Grandma's cheek and thinking that she had always been old? Did you ever think that your dad was something of a superhero? Could you feel your baby brother or sister moving when you put your hand on your mom's stomach?

Were you ever shocked when you saw your teacher from school at the grocery store because he or she only belonged at school?

Did you ever put olives on your fingers
and eat them one at a time?

I have been missing my childhood lately. I found this picture of me with my little brother. We were born 16 months apart. He was my best friend.

I really miss those days. . .

i miss picking dandelions for my mom.

i miss checking cabbage patch bottoms
for Xavier's signature.

i miss wishing on falling stars.

i miss standing on Daddy's toes while
he taught me to dance.

i miss wearing my hair in pigtails.

i miss those days...

But these days are pretty great too!

Lexa and Jet, born 3 years apart. Best friends.

That post was beautiful MJ. I loved it! Your kids are so cute and they are best friends. I think its so neat to see that relationship between bro and sis. My SIL has her two kids that are born almost four years apart. But they are the best of friends.
