The Tree

We are having such great weather lately! Who knew my kids would be running around without shoes on just before Halloween! We stopped at a park on Monday and these two just had to climb a tree. I can't blame them for wanting to hang out in that tree. It was really beautiful! The light colored leaves and dark bark were the perfect contrast. Let me say it one more time...I LOVE FALL!!!


One time when Lexa was about 6 or 7 years old, we were attending a wedding shower at my aunt's house. My uncle was standing at the kitchen window and said, "Oh, there's Lexi." The kitchen is up on the second floor and so I thought he was looking out onto the grass below but actually, she was in the tree, two stories above the ground, looking right at him!!!
