J-E-L-L-O

I've been blog-tagged a lot lately and so I decided that I'll tell you something about myself and leave it at that! Here goes...

I Collect JELLO!!!

Yes, you read that right, I collect JELLO!

I didn't realize it until last Friday when I got some out of the cupboard for a luncheon I was doing the next day. This is just some of my collection. I have all of the JELLO a person could ever want! From strawberry to watermelon and everything in between. I've been buying it whenever it's on sale for about 2 years now. The funny thing is that I don't eat JELLO. I don't really like JELLO and I don't feed it to my family very often. But I do have a very good reason for my JELLO collection...

I Also Collect
G R A N D M A S!
And Grandmas Love JELLO!

Let's see, we've got Donna, Carol, Dru and Jo. Carol and Dru are new.
Jo has been playing the piano in RS for 30 years.

And that's Ellen she used to be a caterer. The lady in the bright pink is Pearl.

Can you see the JELLO cake? They loved it. They always love to have some JELLO on the menu! I wish I had a picture of Shirley, she brought me a recipe for taco soup when her husband helped her come down to the luncheon. She has had several strokes and life isn't easy for her but she still wants to help out.

Sherry, Charlene (who emails me with updates every week), Madge

Barbara, Sheila, Grace, Pat

These are some of my ladies. They are the sweetest people you will ever meet. When I first received my calling, I remember I felt very inadequate. But you know what? There is a lot of experience among these women and they have helped me and encouraged me. I can imagine it would be strange for them to have such a young RS president. Some of them are as old as my great grandma! But they don't let age get in the way. I have learned many valuable lessons from them as I have visited them. I love them with all of my heart, all 45 of them!

So, now you know that I collect JELLO, and more importantly, you know why!

When I first read that you collect Jello, I thought, "That's so weird when she doesn't even like it!" Now I just think you're super sweet!

I also collect Jello - and I also don't eat it very often. But every once in a while when I need some I go to the store and discover it's on sale and end up buying lots of extra. Unfortunately, I don't collect grandmas. I've never really had a grandma - mine died when I was 4 years old. I adopted my Grandma Mills (she was Garrett's grandma) and she was really good to me. Sadly she passed on when I was a teenager. When I met Justin I was excited to have a grandma, but his Granny passed on right after I met Justin and his Grandma passed on shortly after we were married. So you hold tight to all your Grandma's - they're invaluable!

I miss them! That makes me incredibly sad to see them, even more sad to not recognize some of them!
