Have you ever noticed how the quirks and imperfections that you see in other people might annoy you at first but then they become what you love most about them?
Have you noticed any in yourself?
Being able to laugh at yourself and accept your imperfections is a great way to get through life. So I'm going to embrace one of mine today. I have many, many, many of them but by far, the one I love the least is my spelling handicap. (A lot of people tell me they love this little quirk of mine but I have no idea why. Isn't it annoying to have someone always asking "How do you spell, coinincidence...apreciate....recommend???")
Yep, I am a terrible speller. Or should I say, I am terrible at spelling? Hmmmm....let's not bring grammar into this.
A friend once told me that spelling is genetic and I just didn't get the right DNA to be a natural speller. Is that really true? I have no idea but it did make me feel a little better. I would like to introduce you a longtime friend of mine...
Isn't she lovely? She's been with me since my college days. I think I paid $2.99 for her.
I can honestly say that I call upon the knowledge in those dog-eared pages once or twice a week. Maybe you are thinking to yourself, Marion, just us the spellcheck feature on your computer! Well, another one of my quirks is that I love to send handwritten notes to people. I think they have a sincerity that is lost with emails and texts. So, I'll keep my dictionary around until her pages fall out. And if you happen to get a card from me at some undetermined date, please ignore the spelling errors.

Mj you are just too cute! I am a decent speller, but I am HORRIBLE with grammar! YIKES! And I agree about the handwritten notes. Having been the fortunate recipient of one of your handwritten notes I must say that they do bring more sincerity, compassion, and love with them than your average email. (For you emailers out there - please note that I said AVERAGE email.)
You are toooooo cute. We can totally be friends. I am really really bad at spelling. YAY spelling errors. I am getting better but its hard.
I don't even know where the spell check is on my computer, so I suck at spelling and am computer illiterate! Be happy you only have the one.
I personally, am a real stickler for spelling errors and it drives me nuts when you spell things wrong. J/K!
You know I love all of your quirks and unique traits. However, I must note, that I've never really noticed much of a spelling issue in your emails or letters. But we all went to the same public schools so we may very well spell all of the same words wrong. So I say "keep up the good work!"
*just so you know - when I saw the title of this posting I was just glancing at it and at first I thought it said I'm Perfect. teehee
I have to agree with Janis it's a SS thing because some days I can't spell a thing!!
As for handwritten notes...it's a dying art so keep it up!
