I started blogging a little while ago. Let's see, this is actually post #66. Not too shabby! Considering that I had no idea what I was doing in the beginning.

Thank you to Lisa for showing me the ropes! And thank you to Koreena for letting me know that my comments weren't enabled! (See, I really didn't know what I was doing.) I've been blogging ever since and having a great time.

But I've been doing it all for me.

Yep, I've been a selfish blogger! I blog about things that are important to me and I haven't really thought about blogging with any purpose or direction. A lot of blogs promote great causes. Some share recipes or parenting tips. Some of them tell about special sales events or even give away prizes.

I just sit at the computer and write.

I write for the joy of expression.

I write for me.

Sometimes I laugh while I'm writing and sometimes I cry. A lot of times I shoo the kids and answer the phone while I'm trying to post on my blog. But nevertheless, I write.

Yesterday, I saw something on www.LDS.org that caught my attention. It was actually under the heading "A Call For Young Adult Sisters." I think I'm a few months past the young adult deadline. OK, maybe a few years. But I read it anyway.

The Relief Society general presidency is inviting you to do something special for someone else. Gather with one or more friends and serve! Let us know about your experience at reliefsociety@ldschurch.org. Invite everyone you know; blog about it! This can be a wonderful gift to the Savior.

Oh, oh, oh! I want to do something special for someone else!!! And they said, blog about it! I won't email them about my experience since I would feel very guilty knowing that my birth year actually disqualifies me from being a young adult. But...Blog I Will!!!

I don't have a plan yet. I don't even have a single idea. But I will...soon. And you can bet that I will tell you all about it here on my blog!
