Quirks

A little while ago, a couple of friends and I were talking about quirks. Everybody has one or two of them. They are what make people memorable. I think a person's individual quirks become the things we love the most about them.

The trick is, discovering your own quirks. I want to know what mine are so please tell me if one comes to mind. For now, I'll just tell you something about myself. This might not exactly be a quirk but it is something so read on. . .

(Yes, there is such a thing. I just made it up.)

Do you ever find that you buy something at the store, bring it home, and then when you go to put it away only to discover that you already have plenty of that thing? I do it a lot. Today, it was wrapping paper. I really love wrapping paper. I prefer wrapped gifts over sacks with tissue paper. I can't really say why.

I admit that I'm a sucker for the over-priced, under-sized rolls of pretty paper. I found the three on the left in the Christmas paper section today. I thought to myself, "I could use these all year round. They are only Christmassy if you put them under a Christmas tree." Of course, I already have a ton of paper leftover from last year. And other than Christmas, I seldom give wrapped gifts.

After giving is some thought, I realized that there are other things that I always think I need, but that I usually have plenty of. For instance: chapstick. I have a lot of chapstick.
